Higher Tax Rate in Chicago

A 3 Bedroom and 1 Bath house in Cook County in Chicago has a property tax of $8,100 this year.  So, property tax alone is like a monthly apartment leasing cost at $675.  I know you can deduct $8,100 from the federal tax filing but that deduction isn't all that much.  A person is still paying something like $500 a month on one's property tax.  A home owner name, Patricia Taylor paid $6,100 in 2010.  But this year, the her property tax went up by $2,000 in a time of poor housing sell climate since 2008.

This is on top of Chicago's sales tax that's at 9.75% on sales item and 2.25% on unprocessed food and other items that you don't get taxed in Texas.  --- and they say, Texas and any governor who is from Texas sucks.
